Ionian Sea, the Sailing Area of your Dreams
The beauty and variety of the Ionian Sea is unique. Named after the ancient Goddess Io or the heroi Ionios it extends from the west coast of Greece to the island of Corfu in the North, over the islands Paxos, Ithaca and Cephalonia, as far as the island of Zakynthos in the South.
Among turquoise bays, rugged fjords, ancient harbours and secure anchorages, you can find the sailing grounds that suits you best – whether you are an experienced skipper or a family on holiday. One day Cephalonia beckons, with the Venetian harbour of Fiscardo, the next day it is Ithaca with the lonely bay of Ormos Polis, where Ulysses once gathered his fleet. Time allowing you can visit Zakynthos in the South or even go all around Peloponnese. If you go North you can sail through the channel of Lefkada, towards Corfu.
The Maestro characterizes the rhythm of life in the Ionian Sea. Whoever gets carried away by it, experiences fantastic sailing and Greece at its best.
